Defining the technical initiatives of the platform; soliciting feedback and collaboration from the larger engineering teams.Managing the Performance Engineering team to work through scalability/platform optimizations, as well as take on research & development projects (along with direct involvement with the larger teams on occasion).Additionally, directing the on-going scaling and load test projects; this initiative also includes a high level of synergy with the QA team -- combining our efforts for both strategy and test flows.

Included assists in code reviews as well as system design and special projects.Helped build out a rotating side sprint for team members to contribute to platform scalability enhancements. Middleware development for database backed contact and business information.I enhance current scripts and services on the middleware and backend infrastructure, with a keen eye for robust and scalable performance designed to handle large client requests. Additionally, I help develop the backend workflow side of new features, using distributed computing models.I also enjoy creating engineering tools & utilities, usually around areas to reduce debug time for real-time project and data states.Particular experience includes: scalable architecture, data processing, and learning to further optimize systems through good high level language and API practices.

I worked on integrating the Savant embedded hardware into the general control & a/v platform, as well as developing back-end/middleware processes and frameworks for the overall system and mobile-app support. My integration work includes keeping an abstraction above the firmware (with seldom firmware development) and automating the workflow of A/V connection setup, broadcasting statuses to an end-user client, processing custom audio & video settings, and also initiating manual & automatic upgrades of our field programmable flash parts.

Developed the results messaging system for road and cross country races. This includes UI, back-end database and email/sms messaging.
