At the time of sale, Physicians was the 3rd largest private ambulance company in the country, with over 600 employees and 150 vehicles throughout the Great State of Ohio. After six years out of the marketplace, Physicians Ambulance reopened in 2001 under the new moniker Physicians Medical Transport Team and began from scratch with just 3 ambulances on Cleveland's east side. Today, despite a difficult healthcare reimbursement landscape, Physicians is at a "healthy size" and thriving because of the Company's focus on innovative clinical standards and superior customer service techniques.
