I have over 35 years experience in Japanese martial arts training and self defence instruction. Teaching people how to protect themselves is my absolute passion, and I have taught personal safety strategies to companies as well as individuals, including Sainsbury’s Supermarkets, local schools and local scouts groups. I have delivered martial arts and self defence training in Japan, USA, Canada and Europe as well as the UK, and my expertise led to being invited to serve on a Close Protection Team protecting his Holiness the Dalai Lama on a visit to Osnabrük, Germany in 1998.I teach 9 martial arts classes each week in East London, as well as personal safety courses.I currently teach a unique self defence course for children in school years 5, 6 and 7 in preparation for when they start to walk to school without parental supervision.The courses I teach give children and adults the confidence to feel safe in their personal space by providing training that gives them the correct physical skills and the right mental attitude to deal with any potential threat they may face.
