Developed and demonstrated robust and computationally efficient radio frequency (RF) source-seeking algorithms that allow micro air vehicles (MAVs) to autonomously and accurately determine the position of a stationary radio beacon. Led system integration efforts to incorporate UCSB algorithms into existing flight control software from industrial partner and oversaw multiple field tests. Created a mobile sensor network testbed for experimental verification of control and estimation algorithms. The testbed consists of seven iRobot Create mobile robots, an AR Drone quadrotor, Xbee radios, directional antennas, gps units, Microsoft Kinect Sensors, and a Vicon motion capture system. The robots are controlled via laptops running custom software written in Java.

I worked for the sensor fusion group under the supervision of Tien Pham. Developed algorithms for situational awareness and estimation using data from unattended ground sensors (UGS). Studied acoustic sensor platforms and sensor network fabric interface to prepare for field experiments.

Designed, analyzed, and modified control algorithms and hardware during development of inkjet printers. Acted as system integration interface between hardware and software teams. Developed custom instrumentation hardware and software. Provided documentation and training to end users of instrumentation products. Supervised several student interns on instrumentation and software projects.
