Responsible for management and direction of the Division and its functions. These functions include program development, faculty and student recruitment, budget development and management, and faculty development and evaluation. The dean will coordinate these responsibilities with the College as a whole so as to support the mission of NSCC.Provide leadership for all instructional programs, essential instructional support services, program assessment and evaluations for the Division of Business and Public Services. Assist in the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures. Assist in the planning and implementation of instructional staff development programs and activities. Plan, prepare for approval, and administer the departmental annual budget. Coordinate with the appropriate person in the development of marketing and recruiting plans to promote student recruitment and retention. Coordinate responsibilities with the College as a whole to promote the College and fulfilling the mission of the College.

Delivering courses face to face, on-line, hybrid and synchronously. Proficient with on-line course delivery platforms such as WebCT/Blackboard, Cengage Now, Aplia and Pearson products.

Provide oversight of academic support services that promote student success. Supervise the 30-35 faculty tutors, student tutors and success center student workers to ensure quality one-on-one tutoring, group tutoring and on-line eTutoring. Manage all tutor scheduling within the five tutoring labs, as well as all one-on-one and group tutoring appointments. Perform continuous assessment and review of services assuring that quality academic support services are in place to meet the needs of the NSCC student body. Collaborate with the academic deans, faculty members, adjunct faculty members, tutors, student workers and students to provide quality academic support services. Assist in addressing ADA student needs and accommodations. This position also helps support the retention of all students with a special focus on students who have been referred to services for academic probation, academic suspension, have requested additional academic support, or who have been referred for early intervention services.

Previously, Supported over 700 students in the Project Jump Start (PJS) program, which included high school students taking on-line coursework and dual enrollment classes. Most recently, supported nearly 1050 students with curriculum mapping and transfer advising to ensure seamless transferability to four-year public and private institutions. Advised over 400 College Credit Plus (CCP) students each semester, from high schools in Williams County and Fulton County. Coordinated the NSCC University Center and all college campus visitations and transfer fairs. Highlights:- Initiated new and/or updated articulation agreements with partnering institutions of higher education to help students with additional career pathways.- Managed Project Jump Start, (PJS) previous to CCP, which included over 700 students enrolled in on-line coursework and/or dual enrollment classes. Took care of all registrations, advising and all questions from superintendents, principals and school counselors. Reviewed current processes and made improvements to increase student satisfaction. - Signed 30+ PJS memorandum of understanding agreements (MOU), outlining the cost structure, resource sharing and responsibilities of each institution. The agreements were signed with the local six county high schools, in order to offer NSCC on-line classes and/or dual enrollment offerings.- Helped with the logistics of textbook deliveries and pickups to our partnering PJS institutions. - During fiscal years (FY) 2013-16, maintained transfer student enrollment/retention numbers while the overall enrollments at NSCC decreased by 19%.- Increased the percentage of students earning 12+ credit hours that transferred to state four-year institutions during FY 2013-16. - Increased the percentage of students earning 12+ credit hours that transferred to state four-year private institutions during FY 2013-16.

Recruited and Advocated for students from Williams, Fulton, Paulding and Van Wert counties. Also advised all PSEO students from the same counties.

Assisted requesting departments with vendor selection, capital equipment quotation and financial review of equipment for the best possible situations. Developed communication plans and evaluated department policies and procedures; supported and interpreted hospital policies and procedures. Assessed operations of departments and identified, coordinated and evaluated quality assurance and improvement activities. Managed the daily activities and performance of the staff of purchasing clerks.
