As a First Generation Puerto-Rican & Haitian-American scholar pursuing his Bachelor’s, CPA License, and eventual Master’s Degree of Science, Accounting, I am not unaccustomed to pressure. I have faced many trials and tribulations along my academic and professional journey, and I have overcome every obstacle thrown in my path. I approach adversity with a level head and a pragmatic mindset. I love to fail, as I understand that it is the only way to evolve and grow. I am a senior at Rutgers Business School, aiming to complete my final semester in pursuit of my Bachelor’s Degree. From then on, on the academic side, I aim to pursue my Master’s Degree and also obtain my Certified Public Accountant License. On the professional side, I hope to engage in a long and fruitful relationship with Weaver where I can develop and hone my expertise in taxation. Of all of my siblings and cousins, I am the oldest of 8. I know that I am a role model for them and so I understand that it is imperative that I show them that individuals who look like us can accomplish anything they put their mind to. I know they are always watching and I hope that I can continue to set a good example for them and offer my guidance if/whenever they may need it.
