The Directorate’s primary mission is to ensure interoperability among Department of Defense Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence Systems (DoD C4IS). My duties also include conducting a feasibility analysis, engineering, design, configuration and installation of various vendor testing/certification areas.Currently serving in the additional capacities of Strategic Planner, Testbed Maintenance Action Officer and Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN) Action Officer for the Test Bed Operations Branch. Provides technical knowledge toward movement to a Federated Core, supporting the transition to an Enterprise Solution for all three JITC geographical locations, allowing for shared and distributed services throughout. This includes analyzing current infrastructure and lab capabilities, as well as policies, to determine the best equipment for future expansion to better position JITC for distributed testing. Regularly attends Network Operations Sub-Working Group meetings on design lifecycle and current implementation status. Regularly called on to provide guidance and/or feedback on proposed enterprise level solutions. Actively sought after and engaged in the Enterprise effort with focus on modernization, design, implementation and maintenance.
