Stanley currently works for the Jackson County School System as the Safety and Security Supervisor for the school district. Jackson County School District covers 307 square miles in North East Georgia just West of Athens, Georgia.Stanley Kent previously served as the Southeast Regional Security Manager responsible for the Delta Airlines World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. He also was the Lead Anti-Terrorism Instructor for Delta Air Lines Global Services, LLC and served as the senior member of the audit team. Stanley has over 20 years of law enforcement and security experience. Stanley was responsible for the development and implementation of the employee screening training programs at multiple airports across the United States.In addition to training, Stanley was responsible for conducting monthly audits. Audits consist of testing security screeners on policy and procedures; inspecting security screening equipment; and assessment of staffing deployment levels. He provided feedback and guidance to station managers on best practices and methods to improve the compliance of polices, safety, and operation procedures.He also holds certifications as a State of Georgia Law Enforcement Instructor issued by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council with a specialty in Law Enforcement Driving issued by the Georgia State Patrol. Stanley also holds certification as a Security Checkpoint Instructor issued by International Security Defense Systems. While serving as a member of the Georgia State Patrol, Stanley was assigned to the Criminal Interdiction Unit tasked to prevent the transportation of illegal narcotics, bulk currency, weapons, explosives and other types of contraband in commercial trucks and passenger vehicles in hidden compartments, natural voids and personal type concealments. Additionally, Stanley was assigned to the State of Georgia Counterterrorism Task Force as a "First in" unit member to interdict terrorist prior to attacks.Stanley is a veteran of the United States Army. He duties included commanding and supervising the crew of an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. He was also responsible for maintaining, scheduling, and assigning training for a seventy (70) member rapid deployment armored company.Stanley has received numerous awards to include the Georgia Department of Public Safety Commissioner's Commendation, State of Georgia Governor's Commendation for Excellence in Customer Service, Department of the Army National Defense Service Medal, Department of the Army Achievement Medal 2nd award.
