Responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of technology services for the newly launched Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM). Support the School’s mission to provide a world-class medical education that ignites a passion for learning, a desire to serve, and an unwavering commitment to improve the health and well-being of patients and communities. Oversee the $75.8 million, ten-year technology budget including annual service level agreements, third-party vendor contracts, new service offerings, and internal team member efforts.

Led enterprise programs for the David Geffen School of Medicine Digital Technology (DGIT) Department including the merger of IT organizations and services for the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, and Public Health. Chaired multiple business facing Steering Committees to maintain visibility into high-priority initiatives and ongoing communications with business leaders. Led the Project Management Office including day-to-day management of a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts in support of the IT project portfolio for the UCLA Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and Public Health. Served as advisory member on IT Service Management focused committees including ServiceNow Committee and the Service Delivery Advisory Group.

Managed programs for the David Geffen School of Medicine Digital Technology (DGIT) team including the implementation and enhancement of the enterprise service management toolset (ServiceNow). Managed team of DGIT Business Analysts to ensure DGIT received the right support and team members were meeting expectations. Provided portfolio management for DGIT’s project portfolio including oversight of active projects and new project intake queue to ensure alignment to organizational priorities, help remove roadblocks, and proactively identify risks. Assisted in the development of service and project management processes for the organization to ensure work was being performed accurately and rapidly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Led portfolio management for an IT Project Portfolio with over 350 projects annually with a total budget in excess of $100 million to ensure projects were progressing as planned and that any touchpoints between projects were identified ahead of time to eliminate conflicts during go-lives. Oversaw the strategic roadmap and implementations for the enterprise service and project management toolset (ServiceNow). Assisted in the management of project intake which included the development of business cases and communicated with customers to ensure that ITS clearly understood their needs prior to starting the initiative.

Greater New York City Area

Team member on a project that involved the migration of approximately 25,000 users from SunMail to Microsoft Exchange. Created an automated dashboard to manage the project portfolio that cut production time from eight hours to 30 minutes a week.Created presentations used to demonstrate the growth and progress of the Project Management Office to ITS Senior Management.

Moshi, Tanzania

As part of a term abroad, volunteered with a local NGO. The purpose was to become familiar with the practices and programs provided by the NGO including: distribution of HIV/AIDS medication, support of local farmers and entrepreneurs within the community, and a partnership with a local micro financing organization. Assisted the NGO with the evaluation of potential funding sources and provided training to the board on the use of computers.
