Squadron plans officer of the 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment in the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team (2 SBCT). Responsible for developing, synchronizing and planning all operations for three Reconnaissance troops, one Anti-tank Company, an attached Forward Support Troop, and a Headquarters Troop comprised of 603 Soldiers. Primary planner for the maneuver war fighting function and integrates other war fighting functions in design, plan, and conduct of MDMP for Squadron operations beyond 72 hours. Conducts planning in a combined environment focused on readiness with the mission to deploy anywhere in the world within 96 hours. Plans training exercises for Troop and Platoon level EXEVALs, maneuver training, and mission command rehearsals.

Camp Casey, Republic Of Korea

Assistant Battalion S3 of 1st Battalion, 72nd Tank Regiment, 1st Brigade (ABCT), 2nd Infantry Division, forward stationed in the Republic of Korea. Responsible for assisting in the planning, synchronization and execution of all operations and training for two mechanized Infantry companies, two armor companies, a headquarters company and attached forward support company comprising 29 M1A2SEPv2 tanks, 36 M2/M3A3 BFVs, and over 950 Soldiers in a combined operational environment. Responsible for assisting the Operations Officer with management of all orders, taskings, and resource management to include Land Partnership Program, ammunition, and US ranges. Assists the Operations Officer with synchronization of time through the battalion master events calendar. Responsible for the setup, operation, and mission command of the TOC and all reporting to higher elements. Serves as primary advisor to the battalion commander on operations when the S3 is deployed with the TAC.

Responsible for maintaining deployment readiness within the Platoon. Responsible for the management of equipment in excess of $30 million.

Create and enforce a consistent Company battle rhythm that allows the Commander to lead a predictable and successful unit. Responsible for the management of equipment in excess of $20 million. Assumes command of the Company in the Commander's absence.
