Commercial & Multifamily Real Estate Experience:Mortgage Banking: Other than a stint (March 2009 to Oct 2011) during the Financial Crisis, when I spent a few years on the equity investment side of the business, I have been on the mortgage banking side of the business since 2000. Since 2005, when I began originating for my own account, I have sourced and funded over $1.05 Billion in debt and equity financing. Currently, I am employed at Bellwether Enterprise. Previous employers include Walker & Dunlop and Berkadia (aka Capmark Finance & GMAC Commercial Mortgage). Property types financed include: multifamily, office, industrial, retail, self-storage, and funding sources include: Agency, Life Company, Bridge, Conduit, and Bank.Equity Investment / Asset Management: As mentioned above, I spent March 2009 – Sept 2011, I worked for Capmark Investments (aka Hunt Investment Management). I asset managed a 17- property multifamily portfolio consisting of 3,000+ units in Southern California. Duties included Valuations/Forecasting Cash Flows, Loan Recapitalizations/ Modifications, Property Management Strategy) as well as identified and underwrote new acquisition opportunities.
