I was a two sport athlete in one of Colorado's largest high schools and enjoyed being on the winning side of state championships. I also became quite familiar with the school's certified athletic trainer having suffered injuries during my tenure there. In college I continued my love of sport as a rugby player but found myself too small and too slow to be competitive in football any more at least at the collegiate level. Still, my size and speed offered me opportunities to become injured therefore I continued my relationship with injury awareness, recognition, rehabilitation and prevention. Throughout my life I have been passionate about sports competition and medicine. The profession of athletic training I have since found is a great way of staying involved with my loves of sport, health, wellness, nutrition and the applied medicine within the sports community. It is my hope to continue to advance my education and expertise in the field of athletic training for the remainder of my adult career. I hope to remain a part of the community of athletes and medical professionals of which I hold most dear. It is my intention to learn something new every day and apply that knowledge in my pursuit to provide the best quality of patient care possible.
