My current responsibilities are managing all avionics, electrical inspections, and pilot discrepancies as they arise. Troubleshooting and repairing a large variety of discrepancies on Hawker, Citation, Lear, Falcon, Challenger, and Gulfstream aircrafts in a timely manner. Duties also included managing several jobs at one time and prioritizing jobs to meet time constraints/departure times. I have complete RVSM certification with repairman’s certificate on the aircraft listed above. I must also complete documentation of all avionics work performed to comply with all FAA regulations and work orders for Airflyte, Inc. I am responsible for delegating work when needed and assisting in the training of others within the facility. I have recently attended Garmin 5000 training as well.

My responsibilities as an aircraft/avionics technician include supporting 3M flight operations in St Paul or traveling with the aircraft to remote locations. Troubleshooting and repairing discrepancies that I received from pilots involving all systems of the aircraft, preflight inspections and completing aircraft flight releases. I also performed flight attendant duties to overseas facilities and arranged catering for all passengers and crew. I worked closely with the inspection department during scheduled downtime to complete large inspections. Consistently performed maintenance on the fallowing systems; electrical, flight controls, engines, landing gear, fuel, environmental controls and hydraulics. All avionics systems including RVSM recertification equipped on the aircraft I regularly inspected and maintained. My responsibilities also included detailing, cleaning, and fueling the aircraft along with maintaining all ground equipment. I communicated often with Gulfstream Service Center to overcome new arising discrepancies that have not yet been published, part issues, and the most recent aircraft changes. Some of my qualifications related to this position include GV Engine Run and Taxi, GV Master Technician per Flight Safety.

I multitasked as an aircraft technician and also completed all avionics work needed. I worked at the Dallas facility for 5 years and then at the Minneapolis location for 3 years. I worked mostly with all Gulfstream models in addition with other business aircraft such as; Challenger, Hawker, Falcon, Lear, and Citations. At the Dallas location I worked as a Gulfstream Technician for 3 years working large inspections and drop in maintenance when needed (the majority of work I completed where on Gll, lll, and lV’s). I later transferred to their avionics shop for 2 years and worked as an avionics technician on all possible business aircraft listed above. The systems I worked with are; TCAS, RVSM, FMS, IRS, GPS, GPWS, and the aircrafts general electrical systems. In addition to avionics repair I also helped the avionics install department with the installation of Satcom, Magnastar, and many other cabin communication systems. I transferred to the Minneapolis location in 2000 and worked as a Gulfstream Technician lll. Again the majority of my work was on older Gulfstream models. Large inspections, drop in maintenance and avionics repair where some of my responsibilities. I also worked with other aircraft crews on similar responsibilities on the same aircraft listed above.
