PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY• Thirty-five years’ experience in varies academic and industrial positions, and more than four years’ experience serving as Chief Operating Officer in biotech industrial • Twenty-forth years’ hands-on and managerial experiences in process development and cGMP clinical production for more than 30 therapeutic proteins which were expressed in E.coli, Pseudomonas fluorescent, CHOs, SF9 and Yeast cells. Amount them, 11 therapeutic candidates successfully obtained IND approval for Phase I/II trials, 5 in validation phase and finally 2 gained FDA and NMPA BLA approvals. • Demonstrated the expertise and leadership in upstream/downstream process design, optimization, characterization, and validation, with additional proven experience in protein conjugation (Peggylated mAB and ADC), process economic assessment, technology transfer, IND/NDA/BLA submission and commercialization. Directly led or participated in over 27 clinical production runs from 100-1000L runs at phase I/II and 2000L (included 6 PPQ runs) at phase III. In addition, led or participated the designs and constructions of several clinical and commercialization production facilities, at least 2 of them have been validated by regulatory authorities. • Three years’ experience in Corporate Venture Capital Unit (Dow Chemicals Co.), serving as the matter expert for biotech business Merge & Acquisition. Conducted 21 reviews on external business financial proposals and 8 in-site business inspections. Led to more than $40 M portfolio investment and acquired 3 IPs in biotech sectors. • Two years’ experience in new product development and product global marketing. Developed and launched more than 15 new specialty chemicals/DNA diagnostic kits to meet the customer demand in global market. Responsible for 7 external IPs evaluation and launched a new product through the exclusive acquisition of European patent.• Four years’ as Assistant professor of biochemistry in University of Rouen and University of Poitiers, France, taught classes more than 3500 students in BS, and directed the thesis experiments for 4 MS and 2 Ph.D. students. • Elected AAPS-MES committee chair and the liaison officer of AAPS to US National Biotechnology Committee (2016-2017).• Elected Editorial board member for AAPS Journal 2015-2019.• Member of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs (US business think tank) since 2021. • Published more than 20 peer reviewed scientific articles with one in Nature Biotechnology and 14 granted WO/US patents.
