Work with project manager, engineering to design and create assembly drawings of conveying, material handling systems.Use AutoCad, Solidworks to create complete and accurate detailed drawings of mechanical, structural and assembly drawings according to company standards.Design material conveying equipment (sheet metal, machined and weldment components) according to CEMA (Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association), company standards and contractual agreements.Select and verify purchase components used in the design for the conveying equipment: electrical motors, gear boxes, idlers, pulleys, take-ups, belt cleaners, drag conveyor chain and bearings.Design and document accompanying chute work for material handling systems.Assist assembly technicians with questions and issues related to the assembling process.Create and modify 2D drawings of sheet metal, machined and weldment components according to company and manufacturers guidelines.Use Microsoft Office word and excel for project documentation, fabrication, construction transmittals and shipping.Provide Steel Detailing services to Structural Engineers.Create and modify detailed steel drawings according to company and AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) standards for fabrication.Create and modify steel erection drawings for field use.

Work with engineering, technicians and manufacturing to create new sensor, machine safety, vision sensor and vision lighting, lighting and indication and wireless products.Document and design piece parts using Creo 2.0 and Autocad: plastic injection molded, overmolding, extruded, die cast, sheet metal, machined, 3D printed (for prototype design work) and printed circuit boards (rigid and flex).Document and design assemblies: simple to complex large and small electromechanical assemblies.Manufacturing fixtures: design, fabricate and assemble fixtures to aide in the assembly process.Design verification: check for design errors, project specifications and compliance with DFM (design for manufacturing) guidelines.Document and design labels: use Adobe Illustrator to design and/or modify product and manufacturing labels.Create and modify blue prints according to ASME Y14.5 standards.Use and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Examine designs, assemblies and drawings for clearance, interference and tolerance stack up issues.PDM/PLM: experience using PTC Windchill.ERP: experience using Oracle EBS.CMS: experience using Oracle WebCenter and other proprietary software to create metadata.BOM’s and Routings: experience and ability to create and modify product and manufacturing data.

Assist project or mechanical engineers with trouble-shooting problems with machinery, equipment, or respond to requests to improve performance and operation of machinery.Design and produce blueprints of new or existing parts using AutoCAD 2005 and Inventor 9.Create CNC code using DP Technologies software Esprit.Fabricate parts using a CNC(Haas) vertical mill, manual mill, lathe, precision computer controlled grinder, vertical band saw and other miscellaneous shop equipment.Install new equipment, uninstall/relocate equipment and install new parts on existing equipment.Assist with daily preventative maintenance and respond to machine operator’s requests for emergency repairs to machines.
