Job descriptionFacilities managers are responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of an organisation. They ensure that an organisation has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities. Perform duties as Health/Safety specialist for incumbent. Responsible for coordination of all associates health/safety concerns. Ensure usage of proper PPE to prevent workplace injuries; in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926. I perform monthly audits to ensure agency wide OSHA compliance and compile Those audit findings into quarterly reports. I coordinate all necessary permits and licensures for the EPA, MSD, Metro Air Pollution and State Annual Hazardous Waste Assesment to include Tier II through the proper divisions and ensure they are accomplished and processed within allotted time frame. Developed and implemented emergency action plans for chemical spills, fire, personal injury and inclement weather. These programs were birthed at FIBA by me; as they did not have a plan in place for these items prior to my arrival. Perform quarterly agency wide exercises to ensure implemented action plans achieve desired results. Authored and implemented rigorous health/safety training program relevant to each associates assigned duties. Developed, monitor and update monthly excel tracker to ensure associates stay on task and on time with all assigned training to include special training, licenses and certifications. Perform root cause analysis in conjunction with agency incident reports. Compile comprehensive/objective evidence as to what the incident cause was, how to rectify it, and finally how to correct the deficiency. I established the inaugural Hazardous Communications Program for FIBA Technologies Inc. upon being hired. Authored, enforced and maintain stringent hazardous material handling training program. Ensure proper handling/disposal of all chemicals to ensure personnel and environmental safety at all costs. Chair monthly health/safety/training meetings with employees to gain insight on operational risk management techniques they are currently using. Developed Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazardous Work Permit (HWP), and incorporated ergonomics basics.
