Formed part of a team responsible for providing inputs for the restructuring of the training curricular of Environmental Health students at the tertiary training institution, Durban University of Technology. As Head of Kwa Zulu Natal military Environmental Health, I was actively involved with the supervision and developing the skills set for the Environmental Health Practitioner community service members and newly appointed Environmental Health Practitioners. Demanded excellence through continuous assessment of subordinates giving valuable input geared towards self-development of my team.The military environment particularly within the medical arm of service meant that there was a heavy reliance on the multi professional approach to problem solving. I always provided relevant inputs/contribution to any project in which I was involved.Most notably was my role in the following areas viz Foot and Mouth Disease Management, Water Management Project for COCTA Disaster Management, and Operational Support to deployed South African National Defense Force members.Actively engaged with persons and organizational/groups both within and external to the Dept of Defense.Participated in operational deployments outside the borders of RSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner under two United Nations and one African Union mission.Selected as part of the South African team delegation in the project Racing Against Malaria in a pivotal role engaging with dignitaries and local populations of five SADC countries.Served as part of the elite Presidential Medical Team, it terms of food safety.
