My professional career has primarily been Systems Administration, from a base level system engineer, to a Lead System Architect at Cerner Corporation. The most recent focus of my Career has been on Site Reliability Engineering efforts for incident prevention, mitigation, investigation, working towards code quality, defensive code practices, enhanced failure patterns and towards chaos engineering. Providing blameless retrospectives focused on problem management and issue eradication. In addition to the SRE focus, I have worked intricately with Cerner hosted systems and other non Cerner systems - from Citrix, to Red Hat, to IIS/Websphere, to ESX tiered virtualization. I thrive in a production environment, working with clients and connecting the dots between code, deployment, machine, and the end users. I strive to keep applications as close to a CI/CD mechanism as possible, with emphasis on reduction to end user workflow interruption while also delivering the best products on time. I have intimate experience with Citrix XenApp 6.5, 7.15, powershell 3+, Chef, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Virtualization technologies from Hyper V to VMWare - as well as their integration and deployment.
