Over the years, I have mostly learned on the job, but I do have a couple of certifications and I managed to acquire a bachelor's degree after my career was already underway.I found that starting out my career in a small business allowed me to get a good view as to how a business operates. Because of my involvement with supporting an ERP system, I really started to understand the operations side of the company I was working for. I think this gave me a great advantage because it allowed me to understand what drives a business and how I could contribute to the efficiency of operations by providing solutions to help the business meet its goals. I apply this knowledge and experience in everything I do.Over the years I have learned a lot, mostly by making mistakes, and asking people (with more experience than me) a million questions. I also am not afraid to back out of a decision that turns out to be a bad one. Sometimes it is very helpful to take a step back and to really think about whether the path you are taking is actually working the way you thought it would.My main goal is to identify problems, prioritize them, and figure out the best (most cost effective and most efficient) way to resolve them. In addition, I am always keeping an eye out for ways to do things better (constant improvement). This is what I do on a daily basis.

The old servers were purchased from Kingston when they went out of business. This included the Email, ERP system, web sites, file server, terminal servers, and backup server, among others. I setup and supported the entire IT infrastructure after that, mainly focusing on the ERP system. I also helped integrate a new e-business technology with their ERP system to drive their online stores.

I was subsequently hired by Corporate Team Professionals when they purchased the assets from the receiver. During my time there, I upgraded all machines to Windows XP, provided many enhancements and fixes to their ERP system, assisted with the installation of a new phone system (and supported it after installation), redesigned the backup plan, implemented a new anti virus solution, and went through numerous web site builds and enhancements for their online stores. -
