Mr. Melton provided leadership and management of engagements involving crisis management, multi-front litigation, risk management, stakeholder issues, media and matters with U.S. and foreign regulators and enforcement authorities on behalf of numerous Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Melton served as a senior executive with Taylor Interests and several of its operating businesses, holding the positions of CEO, President, COO and Managing Director. These businesses have included technology, professional services, strategic consulting, distribution and natural resources.

Moved headquarters to Houston from Lafayette and hired complete new management team. Modernized field production and transportation equipment. Sold company in less than 18 months for $230 million. Increased equity value over $100 million.

Mr. Melton served as Chief Financial Officer of Valencia Group, a developer and operator of upscale hotels across North America. In addition to leading Valencia’s finance and accounting groups, he was responsible for the commercial and legal compliance, risk management, human resource and information technology functions of the company.

Mr. Melton led the worldwide business development and merger and acquisition efforts of ASCO, an $800 million oilfield services company with approximately 3,000 employees in six countries. While at ASCO, he helped secure the industry’s largest integrated logistics contract, valued at more than $250 million, and managed the company’s annual corporate business planning and budget review process.

Mr. Melton worked as an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he advised on transactions in a variety of energy sectors, including oil and gas exploration and production, oilfield services, oil and gas refining, storage and delivery, and power generation and distribution.
