EPC Project Manager

Project E&I Construction Manager for new 102 MW Solar power station photovoltaic system and associated 33KV reticulation system. Responsible for construction, construction scheduling, commissioning scheduling, labour forecasting and QA/QC delivery.

I provided comprehensive management for a range of projects including resource construction, hydro-carbon fuel management systems (EEHA) and process electrical installations. I scoped and planned projects to develop them to meet with client requirements, estimating resources and conducting negotiations with suppliers and contractor teams. I provided direct project management to ensure the completion of all project elements in accordance with objectives and schedules, successfully developing, implementing and reviewing all quality management and health & safety plans. I was effective in delivering an outstanding safety record while installing various projects such as remote high-voltage switching, sub-station earthing and multiple stockpile lighting projects.I have also overseen several commissioning projects within EEHA hazardous areas, within the resource/mining sector, for hydro-carbon pumping and fuel management systems. During this role, I undertook a number of key projects, including as Superintendent for the QC LNG Project where I was responsible for the installation and commissioning of a field compressor station, involving the installation of high voltage equipment and its reticulation. I have successfully pre-commissioned, commissioned and handed-over the project, and completed all EEHA Dossier documentation.On other projects, I acted as Construction Manager within the Bowen Basin, where I was responsible for the resource sector electrical installations, including hydro-carbon fuel management system projects. I managed the EEHA electrical installation, working with clients to provide HA Dossier updates and plan the delivery of the site schedule. I additionally delivered a range of projects including multiple stockyard lighting projects, High Voltage transformer installations, underground cable reticulation and High Voltage switchyard earth grid installations and commissioning.

I liaised with the Construction Manager to oversee the installation of a variety of electrical instrumentation of the 14m tonne coal washing plant, I successfully installed works within the EEHA/Hydro-carbon environment, with responsibility for the commissioning of systems and liaising with clients to provide sign off and hand over of the project. I ensured that all Australian standards and Coal Mining Act regulations are adhered to throughout all project works.Throughout this project I was actively involved with the project engineering team to identify and overcome issues associated with the design and construct nature of the project in order to deliver the site installation in accordance with quality standards, project scheduling as well as client specifications.As part of my assigned tasks, I was also responsible for the completion of the project construction camp installation and ensuring on-going works are completed on schedule, including the installation of the HV substation and associated electrical authority acceptance.

I successfully led teams to provide electrical, mechanical and instrumentation support for the electrical contract, with responsibility for site safety and project compliance.

I oversaw the team leaders and effective coordinated teams to provide electrical and instrumentation requirements, ensuring the implementation of services in accordance with OHS policies. I worked in conjunction with the Project Manager and Site Construction Manager to provide reports and integrate QA / QC documentation to complete the project in accordance with objectives and schedules.

On both these projects I was responsible for providing project Supervision for both direct employees and contractors, coordinating work area access and access permits. These works included civil constructions for high voltage transformer bays and plinths for associated switching equipment, I was also tasked with the installation of both the structural and electrical apparatus for the completion of the switch yard extension.
