In addition to my previous responsibilities my role included:- Lead incident co-ordinator and presenter.- Providing coaching and support to management and workforce on increasing our safety maturity using Rio Tinto Health and Safety Heat Map.- Tracking management team engagement performance through Rio Tinto CRM data.- Conducting frequent employee engagements, inspections and audits through Lucidity.- Driving Downer’s project HSE audit and inspection schedule.- Management of the health and safety management system onsite.- Tracking workforce pre-task risk assessment quality and providing individual coaching to improve.- Facilitating cascaded coaching to step-up supervisors on their roles and responsibilities.

It was an 8 on 6 off roster and involves providing health and safety support to both the operational mining and mechanical service team.- Providing coaching to workers and supervision on pre-start meetings, pre-task risk assessments and critical risk management.- Ongoing advice to management in reaching and maintaining legislative compliance.- Conducting incident investigation as investigation leader and reporting in INX In-Control.- Monthly reporting to corporate Zero Harm team.- Supporting supervision to drive a continuous improvement approach to safety.- Monthly audit and review of operations safe work procedures.- Facilitating weekly progress meetings with the client.

My duties include:- Conducting daily BAC tests and assisting in running the prestart meeting.- Running and guiding supervisors through daily pre-start meetings.- Assisting the workforce with JHA, permits, take 5’s and RioTinto’s CCC’s.- Completing daily critical control field verifications.- New starter and subcontractor management.- Conducting incident investigations in a leader and team capacity.- HSE Reporting through to the HSEQ Manager.- Development and Facilitation of weekly toolbox meetings.- Driving the roll out of KAEFER’s SMART Choice safety campaign and Life Saving Commitments through supervision and the general workforce.- Providing night shift coverage during plant shutdowns.

As HSE Support officer I was involved in both the warehouse and corporate sides of the role. The duties I engaged in included hazard reports, field interactions and observations, toolbox talks, assisting with contractor management and inductions, reviewing Connx reporting and conducting weekly audits.
