As a Remedial Project Manager I will determine appropriate cleanup actions, methods, and tools for toxic and hazardous waste sites. I will direct contractual work efforts in cases where the agency must assume the cleanup duties to assure that federal funds are properly expended and that contractors are utilized effectively and efficiently. I may assist in monitoring responsible party effort during remedial cleanups to assure compliance with all requirements of applicable regulations. I may participate in or monitor enforcement activities. Finally, I assist in community relations activities within a public forum.My RPM role includes over-site at the DOE Oak Ridge Reservation.

Underground Storage Tank Inspector and State Program Coordinator for EPA UST Program in Georgia and North Carolina

Provides oversight and expert guidance to regional personnel customer agencies and contractors regarding policy, laws, and regulations related to Environmental Management, and related environmental protection program areas such as, but not limited to: air and water quality, hazardous waste (including DOT requirements) and materials management, underground storage tanks containing regulated substances (petroleum products, chemicals , and wastes), oil and hazardous substance spills planning and pesticides. Lead cleanup and remediation projects. Ensure functionality of GSA sites per EMS criteria.

Provide training to professionals in regards to EPA (EMS), DOT and OSHA regulations. Assist companies on compliance related issues.

Manage the logistics of waste management for 6 GlaxoSmithKline research and development facilities in the U.S. This includes the management of hazardous, radioactive, pharmaceutical, biological, and office waste. Lead efforts to bring 4 R&D facilities to zero waste to landfill. Ensure management of facilities maintained EMS standards.

Inspect facilities for compliance of CFR 260-280 which include regulated waste and underground storage tanks. State coordinator for Tennessee for the Underground Storage Tank Program and State Coordinator for Kentucky for the RCRA program. Brownfield Project Officer managing several sites.
