About Jason Pace
Sydney TMS is Sydney's first outpatient Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) service, founded and led by Jason, a psychiatrist and CEO with a MBBS degree from UNSW. TMS is a non-invasive and evidence-based treatment for depression and other mental health conditions, using magnetic pulses to stimulate specific brain regions.Jason has over 20 years of experience in psychiatry, working in both public and private settings, and specializing in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychosis. He was a founder and board member of The Hills Clinic, a private psychiatric hospital, from 2004 to 2015. He continues to work as a clinician and CEO of Sydney TMS, overseeing four clinics across metropolitan Sydney, and delivering high-quality and personalized care to his patients. He also has excellent communication, strategic planning, and service delivery skills, and is passionate about advancing the field of psychiatry and mental health.

Chief Executive Officer
As we enter our 10th year of operations, we can reflect on what has been a slow and steady acceptance of rTMS in Australia. Certainly lessons can be learnt from the international experience where TMS has gained greater acceptance. The introduction of limited Medicare support in late 2021 has helped but this program really needs to be expanded beyond its current scope. Myself and a few believers around Australia are doing all we can to get the word out but more importantly just making this amazing technology available to who ever can find us and changing lives, that have been crippled with depression for many years. At Sydney TMS we are committed to continuing to promote this amazing technology which is truely life changing for so many patients. We know a third of patients suffering Depression do not get an adequate response to medication and TMS treatment can be effective in at least 2/3 of these patients. So we will keep burning the touch and hope that in time more doctors seek the assistance of TMS for their patients. We also encourage the Australian Government to extend the Medicare program for TMS to allow more patients access to TMS. In particular supporting those patients who have benefited from TMS in the past to continue to access ongoing rebates for treatment into the future.

Very proud to have been a founder, board member and CEO of the Hills Clinic navigating the organisation from start to sale in 2015. It was a great privilege to lead such an amazing , wonderful team of people we had true passion and care for people. It is sad to see what we left in good hands when we sold to Pulse Health has slowly been arroded away by subsequent owners. Values not greed sustains growth and prosperity.
