During my role as Infrastructure Manager, I led a team of around 30 staff, including contracting and specialist consultants, to support an estate of around 300 servers offering all services to the user that would be expected [mail, AD, security, remote working, web access, etc.]. The staff underwent the usual appraisal, one to one and development routines. I was also maintaining an ongoing budget in excess of £1.3 million and managing ongoing relationships with hosting companies and other suppliers Main Achievements• Introduced Kanban way of working into Support Teams, with whip limits and process flows, to improve team efficiency.• Setup monthly 1-2-1 sessions with all direct reports, to help understand individual needs and issues.• Followed disciplinary procedures when required, to address individual performance issues.• Leading and motivating teams to achieve business outcomes in timely fashion, to produce high output team.

As a member of an infrastructure team, managed and supported all the bank IT infrastructure including supporting of checkpoint firewalls running on Nokia and Gaia platforms. Day to day administration and OS upgrades.management and configuration of Cisco routers and switches, including creating VLAN’s, NTP services, back and recovery, access lists, SNMP, troubleshooting switch and router issues and upgrading IOS software levels. As part of this role, I was the main technical specialist for the migration of the BPF business from Glasgow to Cardiff, moving 90 servers, 250 roles, customer management systems and 2 full end to end acquisition platforms, this was delivered in 12 weeks, on budget and with no operational downtime
