In 2008 the plan for me to take over as President of Ramey Construction was implemented. My uncle Randy Ramey, the founder of Ramey Construction Co., Inc., has stepped down and I assumed his responsibilities. This has been an exciting new challenge and very rewarding to see all of the years of hard work learning under Randy and others to finally pay off. I appreciate still having Randy around as a resource and mentor. We were very fortunate to have a lot of work in 2008, 2009, and 2010. We started to pick back up in 2012 and things are looking great for the future. We are working on medical, retail, restaurants, office buildings and remodel projects on the commercial side of the company. The residential side has been busy doing remodels and new custom homes.

I have really enjoyed being a project manager and estimator for both commercial and residential projects. I enjoy getting to know the customer and helping them to achieve their project requirements, budget, schedule, and quality. I enjoy learning about all the systems that integrate together to make each unique project function. The interesting part about working at Ramey is that we do a lot of different types of project both on residential side and commercial side of the company. Projects can range from small remodels to large medical projects. Here are a few of the commercial projects I have managed over the years: Spokane ENT Cataldo, Spokane ENT Valley, Spokane Eye Clinic, Inland Northwest Blood Center, Mountain Health Care, Valley Young Peoples Clinic, Premier Professional Center, and Indiana Professional Center.

Shoals, Indiana

I was a Project Engineer for USG Corporation in charge of several large construction projects at the facility in Shoals. I was offered a promotion to stay but decided to take my uncle's offer to come back to the Northwest and work for him.
