This role has provided the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and has encouraged the development of academic knowledge through live project applications. Experience includes:-Inception and development of structural maintenance projects involving on-site investigations, production of design solutions, design briefs, value for money assessments and bill of quantities.-Completing design checks in accordance with the DMRB standards and MCHW.-Involvement in structural inspections to ‘BD 63/07’ as lead and assistant inspector, as well as feeding back to a client via detailed reports.-Production of RAMS to ensure that risks are limited and appropriate control measures are put in place.-Production of health and safety files for live projects in compliance with ‘CDM 2015’.-Exposure to an on-site supervisory role.
