I started with implementing a new Windows Active directory domain for all users. Established new security rules and procedures.

• Immediately came in and did a complete infrastructure/security audit. Began work on implementing a new infrastructure including a new domain server as well as configuring all new DNS servers. • Started and finished a project consisting moving all ISP email accounts to a Microsoft Exchange 2016 server. I virtualized the Exchanger to save money on hardware resources. • Wrote and implemented new security policies defining best practices, social media and acceptable use. • Created a new inventory tracking system as well as implementing a help desk ticketing system.

• I assisted in projects from migrating specific units in the plant to complete redesigns of Networking/Server Architecture.• Worked with the I&E team at Valero energy to assist with Automation designs and recommendations. • One of my main projects was to network different part of the plant to communicate with each other. I completed this by setting up communication through our Cisco 3560 routers. • Assisted on a project with the Valero Controls Engineer by setting up SNMP protocol on our Cisco routers/switches to talk with Solarwinds. • Was heavily involved in the planning and implementation of current and new DCS systems.
