- Oversee all commercial business activities including but not limited to tendering, contracts management, progress claims, cost control and project management.- Provide technical and commerical concrete pumping proposals to customers on major projects.- Management of a fleet of over 50 separate placing boomsand 30 stationary high pressure concrete pumps for both delivery to site and for equipment forecasting.- Negotiate and execute contracts for major projects.- Lead commercial claims team to ensure progress claims are lodged accurately, on time and in line with the company's objectives and standards.- Manage, authorise and track project expenditure for lump sum contracts.- Estimate and submit tenders for major projects.- Maintain market intelligence in dynamic markets and seek new business opportunities.- Provide technical and operational support and advice as required.- Senior point of contact for for contract issues that require resolution.- Provide directional leadership to departments leaders ensuring that service delivery is of a quality standard consistent with both client and company standards.- Provide financial stewardship and ensure commercial governance from tender to project completion.- Contribute to decision making to ensure financial targets including growth, profit, cash flow, budgets and resource utilisation are met.- Strategic planning and analysis of the commercial business function.- Manage risk mitigation projects for the commercial function of the company to limit risk.- Provide reports to senior management as required.- Develop and establish new systems, templates and reports to continually drive efficiencies for commercial and operational elements of the business.- Effectively lead and develop employees who report to the Commercial Manager to ensure high performance of employees and to ensure succession planning targets are met.- Analysis of blocked achievements in the business.
