Windows Server 2008 R2 Admin (Hyper V, WSUS, McAfee EPO, Lumension/Oracle Database/NETAPP) support on Aircraft Maintenance IT System, with over 2000 users & 500 devices. In addition to smaller systems suitable to support deployed operations as standalone self supporting systems, all of these are built in house to task need. Initially Managed a shift of 17 personnel, Ensuring all maintenance and fault rectification is carried out in a timely manner, while following the correct procedures.Last 3 years were spent as the projects liaison, as the main conduit between the PT and the flight, managing required changes to bring new capability into support for present and future systems. Assisting with the PT to develop replacement capability, and produce the official documentation to be followed force wide for the role out & management the of this new equipment . Managed the £2.5 Million equipment inventory, returning equipment to manufacturer if necessary for fault rectification. Was the focal point for a £2.5 million hardware upgrade across the site, liaising with industry, networks and the hierarchy, formulating the local upgrade plan to ensure a smooth transition to the new hardware.

Communications & IT support involving COTS equipment (BGAN, IRIDIUM etc) for a small bespoke unit involved in producing & developing overseas training tasks.My involvement was 24/7 technical support for deployed teams, training deployed teams in the use of the deployed equipment including basic fault finding. Design and delivery of pre -deployment information assurance briefs.Ensuring the unit & deployed teams stayed fully compliant with the required Information Assurance/Management policy.Researched and procured new capability within an allocated budget, using a periodic rolling upgrade program, to ensure that equipment was always kept up to date and supportable.

1st line IT & Network support to critical secure real time data/IT/Communication systems, providing 24/7 support to the users ensuring minimal loss of downtime to systems providing vital support to operations.Enabling new capability through re-purposing existing real estate this including the installation of electrical services and IT infrastructure to IEEE 16th Edition and British Standards.

1st Line supervisor of all maintenance and repair activities of the Rapier Surface to Air Missile System, responsible for maintaining servicing all electronic, cooling, hydraulic, mechanical systems on the missile system in the Bay and in the field.

Aircraft Operations Ground Support - Provided technical support for a deployable aircraft ground support unit, maintaining various secure real-time data/voice communications links, over LOS UHF, strategic and tactical satcom. Network administrator of the NT4/Unix computer systems in use of the unit staff, in various locations throughout the world with the use of Air Portable Cabins purpose built for the units use, or a smaller foot print using equipment in deployable cases.
