Providing architecture support for new product & development initiatives, building new technology architectures, and supporting new and emerging business opportunities. • Supporting upcoming business by participating in the Business Development processes up front from a technical perspective. Some examples of this support is working closely with our business development teams as opportunities arise, spending time with potential partners and potential clients working through architecture and business concerns, and participating in the RFP (Request for Proposal) process providing content, review of content, and level of effort (cost) for responses. • Designing and reviewing architectures to support new product initiatives as part of the Product Strategy & Innovation team.• Building training materials and providing training to technical staff, focusing on areas of application architecture and processes.

Responsible for building a development team to successfully execute a planned knowledge transition effort, drives current project implementations, supports growth from new business development, and focused on product strategy and innovation of existing product placement and product growth. • Building a strong core development team with a mix of solution and product architecture, technical leads, development leads, senior, intermediate, and junior level developers to support the business, including driving current product implementations, and supporting new business initiatives.• Successfully executing a knowledge transition effort due to a software development center closing. This effort includes working with a team to plan and execute an effort for transferring knowledge of key domain experts and developers to a new development team while simultaneous executing on current project implementations. Knowledge transfer is focused on high level information as well as detailed information including understanding of code, build processes, development practices, etc.• Working with organizational trainers and documentation experts to create a solid on-boarding and training process for bringing in the new development team.• Participating in an organizational initiative focused around Product Strategy & Innovation. This initiative is focused on working with business development and product experts to build both strategic and tactical plans for product development. Participation in this effort is focused around how to solve business needs with technology for current and future growth, and how to ensure our products have a long lifetime within the industry.

Providing architecture support for enterprise initiatives including but not limited to supporting existing projects, beginning new projects, new technology opportunities, training & documentation, process change, and supporting new and emerging business opportunities. • Supporting upcoming business by participating in the Business Development processes up front from a technical perspective. Some examples of this support is working closely with our business development teams as opportunities arise, spending time with potential partners and potential clients working through architecture and business concerns, and participating in the RFP (Request for Proposal) process providing content, review of content, and level of effort (cost) for responses. • Pursuing initiatives for enhancing the team development process through efforts such as defining and designing processes around “local” database development, which involves migrating the development teams from a centralized development database to local database environments managed through Visual Studio and source control.• Pursuing new technology and architecture solutions for core product suites as well as for new business. Investigating across the board including application security, MEF and dependency injection, architectural layers, Microsoft MVC, data repositories, etc.• Building training materials and providing training to technical staff, focusing on areas of application architecture and processes.• Supporting and at times leading efforts for organizational process change. An example of this is working with an effort to bring forward Agile techniques to fixed cost, fixed bid projects.

Managing Projects and Processes for new and emerging technologies centered around MVSS new business development such as mobile technologies, e-tolling, web portal frameworks for example. The management of tools and processes is also a responsibility of this group and helping to drive these areas within the entire MVSS organization.• Managing architecture team for efforts related to project support and new technology for the organization. Activities involve resource management and focus of positioning resources appropriately to support existing business as well as emerging technology and strategic alignment.• Driving process improvement and the tools and technologies to support process improvement. Example of this is driving shift in data configuration process and in early client support on projects involving the architecture team at the appropriate time.• Working with business development and external technical groups to define strategies for emerging business and the technology to support these opportunities.• Architectural direction for new projects including overall design, review of implementation, and demonstrating to business development and the organization.

Senior software applications architect for 3M Motor Vehicle Systems Services on n-tier and SOA architectures built with Microsoft technologies. Responsibilities include architecture & design considerations for multiple financial/cash management, drivers licensing, & dealer services applications, implemented within an n-tier enterprise software suite utilizing smart-client and web based (ASP.NET) architectures. Also responsible for providing technical leadership for multiple development teams across project implementations.Technologies Used: VS 2003/2005/2008/2010, C#, Custom ORM, LinQ technologies, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, SSIS, ASP.NET, ADO.NET

Senior developer of document metadata repository for the storage of the digitally signed documents. Participated in multiple levels of development, database design, technical specifications, concept and prototyping, and interfacing with other consultants. Developed messaging based facilities and components to handle system-wide notifications and alerts including errors, database audits, web logs, and full data auditing capabilities.

Developed applications assisting in the function and processes of the Maturewell Extranet mwxnet.com using N-tier framework based on the Microsoft DNA framework. Additionally, contributed to the development of Web-based HMO Premium Billing and ID Cards system built on N-tier MTS object-oriented framework.

Software developer responsibilities included design and development of a core component architecture for use with various projects utilizing MTS and MSMQ, development of Windows CE applications using C++ and VB, Java, and to improve SQL Server skills. Development of client-server telemetry data aquisition applications while utilizing various technologies including Java, C++, Visual Basic, VB Script, DCOM, ADO, and DAO. Main duties were developing real-time data acquisition application and designing and implementing web site. Developed ActiveX EXEs, DLLs, and Controls, as well as the GUI interface with Visual Basic. Used the data access technologies to go against Access and SQL Server databases.
