Employed by Air Products Plc as a ‘Senior Equipment Engineering Specialist & Subject Matter Expert' in sourcing, reviewing/approving & ISO testing of prototype cylinder gas valves and related equipment for the speciality, industrial, helium, hydrogen and medical gas industry, my key responsibilities are:- Valve Test Lab Manager, overseeing day to day running of the lab and all activities relating to the Package Gas Industry review/approval and test process.- Principal reviewer/approver and tester for cylinder gas valve life extension projects, including cost avoidance and technical reports. - Principal complaint/incident/accident investigator for gas cylinder valves and related equipment.- Principal technical support engineer for all industrial/medical/speciality cylinder gas valve technical queries.

Employed by Air Products Plc as a Valve Development Engineer since 2002, managing the Valve Test Laboratory for Europe, responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of high pressure speciality gas and medical gas valves and related equipment, including complex databases and spreadsheets to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of projects. Subject Matter Expert in the field of cylinder gas valves for Industrial, medical and speciality gases, I have reviewed and tested over 200 different cylinder valve variants from manufacturers on a global scale, specialising in; o-ring and pressure seal valves (including RPV valves), sturdy stem and needle type packed valves, spring lift diaphragm valves (including high purity/low moisture), manual and pneumatic tied diaphragm valves (high purity for electronics industry), helium and medical oxygen VIPR and medical pin-index valves.Also, responsible for the management of customer complaint investigations, product evaluations, training and producing bespoke management reports on the status of key projects.

Working as part of the Valve Test Department my key responsibilities were; Testing cylinder gas valves for Electronics, Industrial, Medical and Speciality gases and conducting customer complaint investigations.

Working as part of the goods inward/outward teams the key responsibilities of my position were to:• Conduct daily risk assessments and hazard reviews on warehouse equipment.• Ensure safe delivery of the correct goods to the customer using data tracking scanners.• Prepare work instructions for warehouse staff.• Stock and inventory auditing.

Working in the drawing office and in the tool and prototype department my key responsibilities were:• Producing working fixture drawings for toolroom production, using the CAD system.• Work on own initiative to design and detail simple jigs and fixtures for components, progressing to work of a more difficult nature.• Produce components from working drawings for use within Rolls Royce machinery using a wide range of machinery including computer numerical control (CNC) machinery.• Producing prototype components for research and development.
