Automotive, aerospace, and defense contractors look to us to design and build specialized testing systems that require highly engineered custom solutions involving a blend of technologies.As a Engineering Director, my primary responsibilities are to operate as a technical adviser to the business unit VP and to provide overall technical direction, project guidance, and technical approval of current projects and new proposalsSome responsibilities included:• Organizationally reports to VP of business unit. • Sets and approves the technical direction for business unit projects.• Reviews and technically approves project internal SOW.• Technical approval of internal engineering gates.• Assists and mentors project engineering on component and vendor selection for all project materials.• Supervises and assists in the assembly, integration, and inspection of business unit systems and equipment.• Participates in the startup, validation, and acceptance of business unit systems and equipment.• Responsible for the Technical project approval and specification conformance.• Participates and technically supports external customer reviews.• Assists VP in the qualification and selection of new project opportunities for assigned business unit.• Technical Evaluation of customer specifications• Assists VP or PM staff in the generation of proposals for future work including concepts, budgets, timing, and equipment descriptions.• Assists VP in overall strategic planning and objectives of assigned business unit.• Assists VP in overall business unit sales and resource forecasting.

Automotive, aerospace, and defense contractors look to us to design and build specialized testing systems that require highly engineered custom solutions involving a blend of technologies.As a Controls and Software Engineering Manager my primary responsibilities include management and a technical adviser of all software, controls and fluid power engineering for the dynamic test system group.Some responsibilities included:• Set and approves the technical direction for all software and controls related activities.• Assists project managers in overall project execution.• Project manage dedicated software and controls systems from design to commissioning. • Responsible for overall project budgets, forecasting and timing to the board of directors for assigned projects.• Responsible for all software and control technical sales and project design presentations.• Manage all software and controls resources and tasks across multiple projects.• Supervises and assists in the assembly, integration, inspection and commissioning of dynamic test systems.
