CurrentCurrent duties include:* Manage the furniture inventory and oversee an annual $350K furniture budget for the 42 locations of the Houston Public Library system * Budget management and purchasing for the SPACES Division* Manage small to medium sized projects for the SPACES Division of the Library System* Schedule and manage exhibits in the Central Library's Art Gallery (along with managing events associated with the exhibition space)* Assists with and manages HPL's civic art… Show more Current duties include:* Manage the furniture inventory and oversee an annual $350K furniture budget for the 42 locations of the Houston Public Library system * Budget management and purchasing for the SPACES Division* Manage small to medium sized projects for the SPACES Division of the Library System* Schedule and manage exhibits in the Central Library's Art Gallery (along with managing events associated with the exhibition space)* Assists with and manages HPL's civic art and civic art projects (including conservation, installation, maintenance records, inventory, etc.)* Prepares printed and electronic reports and presentations for various divisions at HPL* Coordinates HPL interests with external service providers for events, festivals, etc. that affect HPL or HPL businessPrevious job duties include:* Collection and reporting of library system usage statistics (including visitor traffic, collection and computer use, program attendance, etc.)* Graphic design and layout for flyers, brochures and other promotional materials as well as creation of video kiosk presentations for multiple library locations (meeting HPL's design and branding standards) Show less
