• BT HP-UX Consolidation. • Data Centre Consolidation. Technical interface between project teams and program management. Organization & planning of equipment moves. Requirements gathering for project team working environments & analysis of target environment• Systems Infrastructure Architect on major UK Pre-pay platform Call Data Record (CDR) archiving solution• UNIX Architect on Government project, responsible for definition of Tru64 Cluster solution• UNIX Telecoms Consultancy within UK Mobile Operator. Role consisted of a year posting , supplying consultancy on HP-UX and Tru64 Platforms including TruCluster. SS7 platform configuration and support on OpenCall IN7 & SS7 products. Configuration of Apache and Samba on TruCluster• UNIX Architect on a Government project, responsible for a deployment architecture using SUN technologies. The system integrated UNIX and Windows technologies to enable use of the existing Microsoft infrastructure and management tools.

• Successfully delivered distributed server based Telecommunications applications software onto 3 sites within the UK and successfully integrated these sites to provide a failsafe solution for the customer using a MAN topology. Each location containing a number of different application installations.• Solution Design Architect, Responsible for the migration of a customer based solution into HP, the role required gaining in depth knowledge of the customer solution in order to facilitate the migration. Subsequent responsibilities in order to achieve a successful status for the migration of the solution included: o Training 3rd line support staff o Training 2nd line support staff o Authoring technical notes concerning various components of the solution. o Designing and developing a secure environment to allow for the storage of all documentation relating to the solution in order that it be available to 2nd, 3rd and Solution support staff.

Upon completion of his degree Jason returned to DEC to work within the telecoms industry.• Responsible for the source code control and product packaging a Voice Intelligent Peripheral IN solution. This involved specifying procedures for the creation of the base media and any base releases in accordance with Company recommendations.• Technical team leader, and lead developer, for the Compaq Remote Commander. Compaq Remote Commander is a Distributed Platform management application that has been developed, It was subsequently been productised by a group within Compaq in the US.

Jason joined DEC from University for a placement year and worked as an engineer on an X.400 compliant mail system (MailBus 400) within DEC Corporate Engineering group MIG.Key Achievements:- Awarded a bursary for final year of university.
