Serve as the educational leader, responsible for managing thepolicies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safetraditional Catholic learning environment that meets the approved curricula and missionof the school.Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff foracademic performance and responsibility for behavior.Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation andfunctioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission.Ensure compliance with all laws, board policies and civil regulations.Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans andobserving classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the useof a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research onlearning and child growth and development.Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systemswith high standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of theschool. Keep the Board advised of employees not meeting their contractual agreement.Keep the staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the school.Develop clearly understood procedures and provide regular drills for emergencies anddisasters.Maintain visibility with students, teachers, parents and the Board.Communicate regularly with parents, seeking their support and advice, so as to createa cooperative relationship to support the student in the school. Use excellent written and oral English skills when communicating with students,parents and teachers.Complete in a timely fashion all records and reports as requested by the Board.Maintain in the school a spirit conducive to prayer and study.Provide an atmosphere of piety, obedience and charity throughout the school day.Provide and supervise a safe recreation and play period for the students.
