I graduated May 5, 2018 with a BBA in Accounting from the University of North Georgia. I have three seasons of tax preparation experience, and during the 2015 tax season I was promoted and placed in charge of the Cleveland, Georgia office. That was before I had ever taken an accounting class. I have a year plus of accounts receivable experience using Sage and Q360. I also have a BS in Recreation from Georgia Southern University. I have six years of law enforcement experience, and over six years of sales and customer service experience. This is a second career for me. So far many potential employers have seen my age as a negative, but I see it as an asset. I know what it's like to work 22 days in a row and 76 hour weeks during tax season, and how to thrive under those conditions. I know what it's like to come to work everyday on time, and stay until the job is done and done correctly. I know how to complete paperwork and reports, and the significance of doing them correctly and on time. I know how to communicate with coworkers and clients, and be courteous and professional. I have the intangibles that can't be taught in school, only learned through time and experience. All I need is an opportunity.
