I began my career in the office products industry in 2011 when I joined Eakes Office Solutions. I came on board as a Network Engineer, providing internal network and help desk support for (at that time) 220+ employees in 11 locations. I am a problem-solver by nature and found pride in turning frustrating technological experiences for users into pleasant ones.As my role with the company expanded, opportunities arose to display another strength of mine – creativity. Through internally produced bi-weekly videos, I was able to communicate important company information from senior management to all Eakes’ employees and was often allowed the creative freedom in production to keep them both fun and informational. In 2014, I helped create one of my more lasting graphics: the new Eakes logo. Through a collaborative effort of many Eakes employees, I served as the design-lead for the project, and the final product is the logo that you see today.I entered our marketing department in 2014 as a Marketing Coordinator, where I combined my technical-savviness and creativity to better suit the demands of ever-changing marketing world. In 2019, I took over the direction of our marketing efforts as the Corporate Marketing Manager. Whether it was web content, direct marketing, digital marketing or print media, I was constantly looking to improve both the process and the final product.Looking back at the various roles during my first decade Eakes, it only seems inevitable that I would find myself in my current position of Experience Manager. “Problem-solver turning frustrating experiences into pleasant ones,” “creativity,” and “technical-savviness” are the very attributes that make me great at what I do. I deliver process innovation and automation across all aspects of our business with the end-goal of improving the experience for both internal and external customers.
