Corporate Security Manager - Generation And Training
CurrentManages and oversees the day-to-day leadership, team-building and professional development for Georgia Power’s Generation Security Team of approximately 50-armed, uniformed security personnel to provide 24/7/365 access control and armed force protection for high-security, restricted access power-generation facilities across Georgia. Management level responsibility for annual physical and (limited) physical security compliance activities (EPA inspections, DHS inspections, Maritime Security, CFATS). In addition to managing the daily activities of this team, implements related policies, procedures and guidelines and represent the department on system security initiatives and committees and perform special projects as required. Responsible for managing broader Corporate Security Department activities as directed in the absence of higher levels of Corporate Security leadership, as approved by the Corporate Security Director. Ensures continuous alignment with the strategic objectives of Corporate Security leadership’s strategy, goals, and priorities. Ensures that the Generation Security Team maintains continuous proficiency to utilize strong, critical thinking skills to identify and assess suspicious activity and security incidents at power generation facilities. Establishes processes and identifies tools for efficient collection and dissemination of data related to incidents that occur at GPC’s power generation facilities.
