As part of my employment as a Vehicle Mechanic in the Army, was relied upon for motivating and delegating small groups of workers jobs to do and assisted where necessary to consistently and effectively diagnose and repair vehicles under strict time constraints and in sometimes stressful and adverse conditions. Needed to be reliable, proactive, and resourceful and have good communication and leadership qualities. Other aspects of my employment entailed the operation of overhead gantry cranes, organised lifts and the before and after use safety inspection of lifting and towing equipment. I have also been trained in the safe use and safe disposal of COSHH and clean up methods in the event of a large spillage to avoid long term damage to the environment.
