Related services include discovery assistance, structuring settlements, determining income available for alimony and child support, preparing net worth statements, asset tracing, forensic accounting, and providing expert testimony.Real Property/Investment Holding Companies – Many business valuations follow the “slap on discounts” technique, where average discounts are applied to an adjusted book value. This technique ignores critical factors such as rates of return, available cash flow, and comparable transactions. Our team has developed an efficient model to analyze the necessary components of an asset holding company providing sufficient support for our conclusions while withstanding IRS scrutiny. Purchase Price Allocations – Our valuation team can assist management in determining the identifiable intangible assets that could be recognized in a transaction and determine the fair value of those assets in accordance with ASC Topic 805.
