Managed Vinmar International’s global container freight, including exports from the US, Middle East, Europe and Asia. Duties include contract rate negotiations for volumes out of USA and Middle East, as well as spot negotiations ex. Asia and Europe, for a total volume of over 45,000 TEU/year.

Managed container and bulk transportation for Rio Tinto Minerals, Kennecott Utah Copper and Rio Tinto Procurement as internal account manager. Negotiate container service contracts to cover over 30,000 TEU per year and a spend of over $20M. Negotiate and manage contracts for 200,000 to 325,000 metric tons of bulk per year. Supported sales territories which contained such accounts as HP, Mattel, Nike, and Disney Stores.

Direct manager of ILWU union employees in charge of loading and unloading of vessels, as well as safe and efficient cargo flow between the vessels, CY, and rail. Responsible for two APL Liner services - MCX and APX. Responsible for pre-planning, determining labor requirements, physical working of vessel and on-time sailing. Developed interpersonal and managerial skills through management and supervision of ILWU labor.

Required to complete ad-hoc projects to support APL Logistics IT Department. Managed team responsible for all IT security requests. Successfully managed 2 month backlog of requests down to required response time of 48 hours.Worked closely with APL Logistics upper management to develop RFQ for Desktop Services.
