• Ensured consistent execution of projects that cross multiple vertical segments such as Health Care, Airports (landside and airside), Correction Facilities, Rail Metro systems and Government infrastructure.
• Set up a Global Major Projects team based out of Dubai, which is a core group of individuals with large project construction and commercial expertise, to execute all projects according to a standard framework.
• Set-up for a special Software Execution and Cyber security team to ensure transformation from core hardware execution to new software led connect solutions.
• Responsible for deployment of common global project financial and management platform for all projects under execution. Allows for a “One View” of all projects, improving productivity and data analysis on.

• Based in Sydney, Australia and accountable for all building automation projects delivered in 7 regions that forma part of the Asia Pacific Pole. These include: Middle East, Sub Sahara Africa, India, South East Asia.
• Successfully executed projects that cross multiple segments such as Health Care, Airports, Correction Facilities, Rail Metro systems and Government infrastructure.
• Implemented a more structured project controls operation to ensure quality execution and improved financial returns on the respective projects in the regions.
• Rolled out a standard Engineering organization across the regions, which anticipates the required engineering resources and specialists required for projects.
• Personally leading 2 of the most impactful projects in the region to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and protect the financial position and returns expected on the projects.

Dubai, UAE

• Based in Dubai and accountable for all building automation sales, projects and services delivered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Bahrain and Kuwait. US$ 75M in sales and 320 employees across.
• Set up a business support center (BSC) in India for the ME business to handle all back office transactional items. This improved front office efficiency and lowered cost to serve.
• Steered the return to profitability of the business unit post the 2008 global financial crisis. Significant improvement in ROS and WC capital year over year.
• Significantly improved the Working Capital position through tight management of accounts payable and inventory, whilst ensuring that outstanding receivables were tracked and achieved.
• Led the integration of the building solutions operation in the Saudi Arabia joint venture, after Honeywell Inc. purchased a majority share of the joint venture
• Introduced formal leadership training (Management Academy) within the business unit which provided next level training to managers and supervisors to improve their business acumen.

Houston, Texas

• Based in Houston, Texas and accountable for all Oil & Gas and Pulp & Paper sales, projects and services in the “Southern Region” of the USA (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago) US$ 240M.
• Registered stellar growth in volume and margin expansion of the services business $60M with a ROS of 14%.
• Coordinated the business done through Houston to other international destinations. Key win ($43M) through Bechtel for the award of the integrated plant security, access and control system for the new LNG plant in Angola.
• Growth of the offshore gas service business with BP in Trinidad and Tobago.

Johannesburg

• Based in Johannesburg, South Africa and accountable for all Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper and Power projects and services in Sub-Sahara Africa. US$ 55M in sales and 230 employees across the geographies.Significant.
• Achieved growth in volume and profitability of the business by growing through well-established alliances with Sasol (global O&G customer) and focusing on new growth vertical markets like Power Generation.
• In 2008 the business was awarded a $45m control system refurbishment of the Grootvlei Power station in SA.
• Opened up a Honeywell legal entity in Angola and won the upgrade and refurbishment of the Total (FINA) refinery in Luanda, Angola.
• Led the divestiture team for Honeywell in divesting 25% of Honeywell SA to a black empowerment partner in line with the strategic business agenda for South Africa organizations.
