I am an AV rated lawyer who primarily represents insurance companies in property and liability defense. I represent the following: insurance carriers in first-party, third-party and bad faith insurance defense; corporations and government agencies in various litigation; and various professional sports teams, athletes and entertainers in sports and entertainment related litigation. I also represent businesses and individuals in all phases of litigation and arbitration. I have been lead trial counsel in several trials on water loss claims. I have conducted hundreds of depositions; argued in courts at the state and federal level; appeared in front of quasi-judicial administrative judicial bodies; and managed complex litigation from inception to conclusion. On several occasions, I have obtained summary judgment on behalf of my clients, both in federal and state courts. I litigate water loss claims throughout the state of Florida.I am regularly quoted in the media based on experience in representing property insurance companies and I am a tireless advocate in protecting companies against the tide of increasingly frivolous lawsuits. I have published articles in the Miami Herald, Daily Business Review, Texas Lawyer, Claims Journal and other publications about property insurance. I present continuing education seminars to adjusters about insurance issues and speak at conferences about insurance. Super Lawyers recently honored me by naming me to their 2017 Florida Rising Stars list, which is an honor bestowed upon only 2.5 percent of the attorneys statewide. I also represent professional athletes, and have represented medal winners in track and field from two of the past three Summer Olympics.
