Chief Engineer
CurrentAs the Chief Engineer, I'm in a critical and highly visible position at CAN TV responsible for planning, deployment, and integrity of mission critical broadcast technology. I also lead the Engineering Department, which handles all adds, moves and changes, documentation, and implementation of CAN TV technical systems including; business, security; telecom, IPTV, WAN / LAN networks, broadcast systems, both mobile and fixed remote broadcast equipment, mechanical systems and the physical plant.. My day-to-day responsibilities involve working closely with all departments, System Integrators and Service Providers to plan and manage CAN TV technology. I've established and maintain technical quality standards for the channels and forecast, prepare and maintain department operational and capital budgets. I provide the strategic and tactical vision to study, implement and test new production, workflow and broadcast delivery technologies. I develop plans to support the growth of the station's capabilities in accordance with corporate plans and market requirements; and provide technical guidance to executive management regarding the needs for capital and operating expenditures in order to achieve CAN TV's goals.
