I practice environmental and land use law at out of my Ontario, California office. My practice focuses on assisting clients in complying with state and federal environmental and land use laws, including the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the California Environmental Quality Act, the Clean Water Act, the Subdivision Map Act and the Mitigation Fee Act.I practice before the California Public Utilities Commission. This practice involves offering counsel, advice and advocacy to clients in general rate cases, rulemaking proceedings, and investigations. I assist renewable energy clients in evaluating project feasibility, securing interest in real property, performing due diligence, securing water rights, and evaluating permitting issues.Annually, I teach a course at the University of California at Riverside on the Endangered Species Act and conservation planning, and frequently guest lectures at other institutions on the subject.
