As a public finance and policy professional, I have a passion for illustrating the linkages between local government resources, outputs, and outcomes in a manner that is consumable to internal and external stakeholders. I spearheaded the development of Tarrant County’s first narrative-driven budget document, which has earned the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for two consecutive years, representing a significant achievement for the organization.Currently, I serve as the lead analyst in the development of all operating and special purpose budgets which amount to a combined $1.6 billion. During my time with the County Administrator’s Office, I represented the Tarrant County Commissioners Court before the state legislature in Austin. Additionally, I provided strategic policy analysis and support to senior leadership to ensure the effective and efficient disbursement of over $400 million in COVID relief grant funding received through the American Rescue Plan Act. I hold a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas, where I honed my skills in various aspects of local government management including communication, public finance, policy analysis, and program evaluation.
