I built a team and launched a new AWS service named AWS IQ. It's a marketplace for on-demand AWS talent (Distributed Systems, Cloud, Two-Sided Marketplaces, Go-to-market/business strategy). Since 2020 I took a new role to build and operate next generation internal sales products for AWS Sales (Large scale data reporting systems, Information Security, CRM and other Sales technology).Beyond this I play key roles in leading organizational security and technical operations standards and practices.

Oversaw the development and technical operations for a mid to late-stage startup providing B2B and B2C services in the home services industry. Key areas included developing consumer experience (full stack – React, Java, SQL, Kubernetes, native mobile IOS/Android), SEO, large scale home-related data analytics (Data Science, MDM, ETLs), IT operations, and more.

Developed consumer experiences for Amazon Local, a Groupon-like service. I managed teams delivering web (Amazon-based Java stack) and mobile (IOS, Android).

Managed the Zynga gaming platform, a large-scale distributed system handling authentication, payments, identity and personalization, as well as other game-specific back-end services (AWS, ZooKeeper, fraud, LAMP-stack - but memcache was the real star of the show ;-).

Geeknet acquired my startup (Ohloh). I moved to VP Engineering role and oversaw all Geeknet tech, including SourceForge and Slashdot.

Co-founded a started driving open source intelligence. Managed product, tech, hiring, etc...

I joined Microsoft as an SDE, grew into management and led visualization/charting features in Excel 95, 97, and 2000 (client software, graphics/visualization, BI, C, C++, Windows). I then worked on next-gen MS Office tech and developed early web versions of Office (web client, Javascript). I joined .NET division in 2000 and worked on distributed computing (developer tools, C#, compilers, platform tools).
