This included managing and maintaining the data warehouse, making code improvements, and gathering requirements for a pipeline to ingest patent information from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) and use it to gain valuable insights. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue in this role but I made sure to properly handover the work, to ensure that the project could continue without interruption. My role at NRC required me to have a strong understanding of data modeling, data pipeline creation, and working with analysts to gather requirements and provide insights. -

This included new reports that were used in IRCC's annual Facts & Figures publication. I also developed a BI solution to report on Permanent Residents who became Canadian citizens.To ensure the success of the project, I used technologies such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, C#, NUnit, NBi and Team Foundation Server. Additionally, I introduced Agile development methodologies to ensure that projects were completed on time, within budget, and met changing requirements.I also prepared detailed documentation, presented to staff, and provided education material and knowledge transfer training to staff to ensure that they were able to work with the new solution effectively. -

This system was used to streamline and improve the state's public assistance program. My role included developing a web application with a SQL Server database that allows non-technical users to easily interact with and manipulate documents as part of the approval process. I contributed to the design of the system, ensuring it was user-friendly and easy to use for those with minimal technical experience. In addition, we also released a separate version of the system that catered to a different clientele, with the goal of scraping more business. Overall, my work helped the state of Florida to manage their public assistance program more efficiently and effectively.
