Currently, I lead the strategy and implementation for Gap Inc.'s seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) as well as our Heritage Month and Cultural Activation programming, which aims to educate, celebrate, and drive a sense of belonging for employees across the organization, including HQ and stores.As a DEI practitioner, I develop and execute comprehensive strategies for ERGs, resulting in increased employee engagement and retention. I spearhead the development and management of a Heritage Month + Cultural Activation strategy, grounded in five foundational Heritage Months. This strategy has led to increased cultural awareness and appreciation across the organization.I work closely with company executives to develop and implement brand strategies that foster a culture of inclusion, focusing on recruitment, retention, and brand programming. I manage internal and external stakeholders and partners to bring the organization's DEI strategy to life in a way that is impactful, relevant, and consistent with the brand. My efforts to foster a more inclusive work environment include introducing innovative ideas and initiatives that promote diversity and encourage employees to bring their authentic selves to work.As a strategic partner to Human Resources, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, and Communications teams, I programmatic manage new and existing diversity partnerships, oversee external organizations, vendors, and speakers, and plan, develop, and scale the implementation of diversity programs involving coordination of resources in multiple locations/countries.One of my strengths is connecting people to organizational values. I conceptualize and develop innovative in-person and virtual activations that leverage storytelling to engage employees in celebrating and learning about Heritage Months + Cultural Activations. These activations have reached over 90K employees and fostered a culture of inclusion and appreciation for diversity.Let's work together to create a more inclusive and diverse workplace that promotes employee engagement and retention, cultural awareness and appreciation, and a strong sense of belonging for all.
